Penkerris is a lovely old house with many of the original features. It offers great value for money and has a lawned garden suitable for badminton, volley ball or just for relaxation. There are swings for the children and comfortable garden chairs and picnic tables for all (a barbecue is available) and there is ample parking right next to the house.
Penkerris owns a charming beach hut at Trevaunance cove and this is available for the guests. This beach hut has a magnificent view right over the beach and out to sea.
There is a cosy lounge (with a log fire in winter) where guests may sit to watch tv, read or just chat. There are two computers – which guests may use or alternatively you may wish to use your own laptop.
The bedrooms are attractive and colour co-ordinated. The bed are made up with sheets and blankets but each also has a duvet. Several of the bedrooms contain a double and a single bed and are let as doubles, twins or as family rooms.
We are in the village of St Agnes and are very easy to find. From the A30 (the spine road of Cornwall) take the B3277 Road to St Agnes (3 miles) from the big roundabout at Chiverton. After 2 miles you pass a garage on your right. Continue on and you will pass a garage on your left followed by the village sign. We are just round the corner after this sign.
Penkerris is only half a mile from the beaches and dramatic cliff walks. You can walk from one beach to another in St Agnes itself, including the path up over the famous St Agnes beacon, or along the coast in either direction. It is central for visiting the whole of Cornwall. Lands End, St Michaels Mount, Eden project and the many, many attractions. For more information please call Dorothy Gill-Carey on 01872 552262.
